Updated over 2 weeks ago

Toddle’s new Workbook library feature allows schools to create and share custom workbook templates. Educators can easily access these templates under the ‘School templates’ tab, making it simpler to find resources that align with their curriculum and teaching needs.

💡Please note that this feature is currently only available on Toddle Web.

Creating a new workbook template as a school admin

To create custom workbook templates as an administrator, start by accessing the admin portal. From your homepage, locate the desired curriculum section and click on the 'Academic setup' card within it.

You will also be able to view all the templates created for your school in the ‘Workbook templates’ tab of the Academic setup dashboard. You can also search for specific templates using the search bar or filter them by creator to further refine your search. Please note that the templates added to the workbook library will be visible to all classes in the curriculum.

These templates can be used by any teacher in the curriculum. However, only the creator of the template, and school administrators will have the permissions to modify the original template.

Creating a new workbook template as an educator

Educators can also create their own workbooks templates and add them to the school library.

To begin, create a new ‘blank workbook’ using the option highlighted below. You will land on this window if you choose to add a workbook to an assessment or learning experience under the student template section.

Once your workbook is ready, click the arrow next to the ‘Save’ button to save it as a template.

Once you have saved your work, it’ll appear in the ‘School templates’ section at teacher’s end. This template can now be used by all the other educators of your curriculum. However, only you (the creator) or your school administrators will be able to modify the original template.

Using workbook templates from school library

Once school admins or teachers add workbook templates to the school library, they become available for all teachers to use. As a teacher, when adding a workbook to an assessment or learning experience under the student template section, you’ll see the below screen. Here, you can either select a blank workbook to start from scratch or choose a pre-existing template from the ‘School templates’ section. You can conveniently search for specific templates or filter by creator to find the most suitable template for your needs.

After selecting a template, a copy is created for your assignment. Any edits you make to this copy won’t affect the original template.

💡Note: Only the creator and school administrators can modify the original workbook template.
