Toddle Academy offers Foundations of learning, dedicated to mastering features on Toddle like Planning, Portfolios, Classroom, and more. Each Foundation presents self-study courses for you and your teachers to learn on the go, independently.

Log into Toddle. Once you log in, you will see a bulb icon on the top right of your homepage. Click on the bulb icon. You will see a drop-down with the following options -

From this drop-down, click ‘Toddle Academy’.

You’ll be routed to the Toddle Academy homepage. The homepage is divided into three tabs -

1. My Dashboard

2. Resources

3. Foundations

Let’s look at what you can do on each.

Let’s begin with the Resources tab. You can find an Academy 101 collection for each program visible here. Each collection has helpful articles and videos on how to take courses on the Academy. We recommend you watch this before you start your first course, for the program relevant to you.

Next, let’s look at the Foundations tab. This is the heart of Toddle Academy, where self-study courses are organized into learning pathways for you to master the different elements of Toddle. Please note that all courses across curricula are listed here. So scroll to find the courses relevant to your program to take them.

We’ll dive into how to do a course in the next section.

Finally, the Dashboard tab gives you a view of your progress across courses.

It is divided into three sections -

1. The ‘All trainings’ section, which lists each self-study course available on Toddle Academy. We recommend you do self-study courses only via the Foundations tab though, as explained later in the article.

2. The ‘In progress’ section, which lists all courses that you have begun but not completed.

3. The ‘Completed’ section, which lists all courses that have been completed

Select a Foundation from the ‘Foundations’ tab to begin.

Within the Foundation page, you will find a list of sessions available within the Foundation. Click Start to begin.

Once you click Start, or simply click on the self-study course card, you will enter the course details page. This page gives you a quick view of the audience it’s for, its run-time, and the agenda. Next. click on the ‘Get Started’ button to begin the course.

On the left panel, you can see a list of chapters covered in this session. You'll find a range of videos, do-it-now tasks and checkpoint quiz questions. Let’s learn more about each.

To watch videos, simply click on the Play button. Also use the bar at the bottom of the video player to pause the video, watch it in full-screen mode, or even adjust the playback speed. Videos are currently only available in the English language.

The do-it-now tasks are designed to guide you in trying concepts covered in the session, on the Toddle platform. Make sure to try them out in the Training Class on your Toddle homepage, to make the most of the course. Your actions in the training class will not affect any real-time data in your real classrooms.

Checkpoints and the final exit ticket are designed to check your mastery throughout the course. An explanation for the answer will be revealed when you select the correct answer.

You will need to complete all sections of a course to complete the course.

You can pause a course anytime you like and simply click on ‘Continue’ on the course details page to continue learning.

At the end of each Foundation, unlock a certificate
of mastery by scoring an average of 85% or more across all courses in the Foundation.
