Set due date in past: You now have greater flexibility when documenting student learning! You can set due dates in the past while creating or editing assignments - ideal for recording offline tasks. Students won’t be notified about backdated assignments, and submissions won’t be considered late.

Enhanced flexibility in creating events: We’ve redesigned the event creation process in Toddle calendar to make it more powerful and flexible. Teachers and admins can now create timed or all-day events, select specific participants, add attachments, and set up custom reminders, all from a simplified and intuitive interface. Additionally, calendar module from within class will be deprecated by 29th Aug.

Subject wise attendance reporting: You can now display attendance data by subject in progress reports if your school marks period-wise attendance. Choose to show it cumulatively, separately by subject, or both - across summary pages and subject reports. This gives your school greater flexibility in how attendance is reported.

New customization options for transcripts: As an admin, you now have greater control over your school’s transcript layout. You can add student photos, insert watermarks, and edit programme names and table headers to match your school’s needs. Plus, import scores directly from the gradebook, alongside existing options of progress reports and Excel uploads.

Introducing Student flags: You can now add student-specific flags, such as, medical needs, behavioural notes, or custody arrangements, with the new Student flags feature. Admins can define flag types, and staff can create, manage, and archive flags directly from student profiles. These flags appear alongside student names across key areas of the platform, giving all staff timely visibility into important information.

Portfolio filters and new layout: Teachers, students, and families can now view portfolio posts from previous academic years using the new academic year filter, making it easier to look back at learning over time. Plus, the new grid layout gives everyone a cleaner, more visual way to browse posts at a glance.

Streamlined announcement flow: We’ve redesigned the announcement creation flow to make it faster and more intuitive. You can now reuse recipients from past announcements and send targeted emails based on user type - all from a clean, single-page layout. What’s more, you can add banners for a personalised touch and easily preview your message on web, tablet, and mobile. This update is available on both web and app.
