Toddle privacy policy overview
Updated over 2 weeks ago

It is our mission to help teachers deliver meaningful learning experiences. To achieve this, we build easy-to-use tools that help make things simple for teachers and empower them to focus on the important things. It is hence critical that we create a safe and secure environment where teachers, children, and parents freely share content and ideas. Creating such a safe and secure environment is central to the success of our endeavours.

Our Privacy Policy outlines the types of data we collect, why we collect it, how we store it, and the rights users have concerning their data.

Data collection and usage

We collect only the minimum personal information necessary to provide our services, including names, email addresses, and content added to class journals and student portfolios. This information helps facilitate curriculum planning, assessments, communication, and other educational activities.

Data storage

User data is securely stored on various Amazon Web Services (AWS) server locations based on user regions: Ireland for Europe, Sydney for Australia, Singapore for Singapore, Dubai for UAE, and Northern Virginia for the USA. Users in other regions have the option to choose data storage in any of these locations.

Data sharing

We do not sell user data or share it with advertisers. We only share data with trusted third-party service providers when necessary to operate and improve Toddle. These providers are contractually bound to use the information solely for the services we request.

Compliance with privacy laws

We follow globally recognized data protection regulations, including:

  • FERPA (USA): Protecting student education records.

  • COPPA (USA): Requiring parental consent for collecting personal information from children under 13.

  • GDPR (EU/EEA and Switzerland): Governing data protection and privacy in the EU.

  • CCPA (California, USA): Granting California residents rights concerning their personal data.

  • DPDPA (India): Regulating personal data collection and processing in India.

  • Australian Privacy Principles: Setting standards for handling personal information in Australia.

  • KSA’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL): Ensuring data protection in Saudi Arabia.

We ensure compliance through parental consent processes, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and robust security practices.
