Creating goals
As a student, you can access goals through the ‘My goals’ card on your homepage.
To start creating your goals, follow these steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Add Goal' button located in the top-right corner of your screen.
Step 2: Enter a descriptive title for your goal and set a target date for achieving it.
Step 3: You can also break down your main goal into a series of milestones and assign target dates for each one of them. To do this, click on 'Add a Milestone' and provide details.
Step 4: If you have multiple milestones, you can add them by clicking 'Add another' and setting individual deadlines using the 'Select Date' option.
Step 5: Once you have defined your goal and milestone(s), click on 'Add Goal' to save all the changes.
Your newly created goal will now be displayed on your dashboard, allowing easy tracking of its progress.
Managing goals
On your goals dashboard, you'll find a comprehensive display of your goals and milestones, with corresponding deadlines and current status. These are organized into two tabs:
1. Ongoing: Here, you can access a list of goals and their associated milestones that are still in progress.
2. Completed: This tab showcases all the goals accomplished by you.
Now, let's explore the various actions you can perform on your goals.
Editing goals and milestones
By accessing the three-dot menu on a goal or milestone card, you have the option to edit both ongoing and completed goals using the edit feature. To delete a goal or milestone use the ‘Delete’ option under the 3-dots menu. Please note that you can only delete goals that are created by you.
Managing evidences for goals and milestones
Adding evidence is important as it provides proof of progress and achievements. There are two ways to add evidence for a goal or milestone. You can either use 'Add evidences and comments' from the three-dot menu or click directly on the goal or milestone card. This will open a side window on the right. To add evidences, use the 'Add work' option as shown below.
To make changes to the submitted evidence, click on the three-dot menu and utilize options like download, rename, or delete. Furthermore, you can have a one-on-one conversation with your teacher regarding the progress on your goals using the chat box in this window.
You will also notice numbered badges on the goals and milestones card every time your teacher adds a comment or attaches any evidence on your behalf.
Marking goals and milestones as complete
To mark a goal as complete, you can use the tick mark option against the goal. Alternatively, you can mark individual milestones as complete using the tick mark option on each milestone card. If all milestones of a goal are completed, it is automatically marked as achieved.
Once a goal is marked as complete by you or your teacher, it will automatically move to the 'Completed' tab. If necessary, you can also mark a completed goal or milestone as incomplete using the same tick mark option and it’ll move back to the ‘Ongoing’ tab.
💡You will receive a notification whenever your teachers mark a goal as complete for you.
Family view of goals
Family members will have the ability to track your progress on the completion of goals and milestones under the 'Goals' tab on your profile. Here, they can view which goals and milestones are marked as complete, along with the evidences and comments shared for each goal and milestone.
