The Class Journal now has a renewed and more intuitive interface. You can now explore journal entries with fewer clicks and have greater insights.

The key enhancements in the interface are:

  1. Preview of journal attachments

  2. Post titles which give a complete picture

  3. Easier view of tagged students

  4. Deeper insight into likes and comments on journal posts

  5. Consistent interface

  6. Translation of post caption based on preferred language in the profile

  7. Single feed for journal posts

Preview of journal attachments

Educators, family members and students can now scroll through and preview all the journal attachments and view them without having to navigate to another screen. Attachment previews give you an insight into the content of each media file on the main feed itself! Media attachments can be easily identified by the relevant icon and type name -- ‘rubric’, ‘learning goals’ etc..

Translation of post caption based on preferred language in the profile

Educators can now translate the post captions in their preferred language. For e.g. - If your profile language is set to English and you have a post with a caption in Spanish, you will be able to view the caption in your profile language using the ‘See Translation’ option. This feature is now available on both web and app.

💡 This is a paid feature and is made available to schools on request.

Single view for all journal posts

At the student’s end, there is now a single feed of journal posts, instead of multiple tabs. All posts will appear in the same feed, whether their status is approved or in-approval. The posts that are awaiting teacher’s approval or have been requested for resubmission will be highlighted with a colour-coded banner on top, as shown below. This view is now the same on the app and on the web.
