Toddle has made sure that you never miss new communication between student and teacher within MYP projects, through newly added notification badges. The notification badges correspond to comments within a project field and annotations on draft reports of a project.

We have added numbered notification badges within MYP projects. If a teacher comments using the chat icon on any of the project fields or annotates the submitted work, It gets indicated by a notification badge at the student end. The same behaviour applies at teacher’s end if a student makes a comment or annotates the draft report.

As a student/teacher, you will see notification badges within MYP projects for:

  1. Personal project

  2. Community project

  3. Service as Action

Scenarios when you will see badges

For Teachers: When students add comments

In the event when a student(s) who is a part of a certain project clicks on the chat icon to add a comment, suggestion or feedback anywhere within the project, then all the other members will view notification badges with the relevant number for the same.

As as teacher, you will be able to see the count on the notification badge, which would convey the number of new messages or comments, as shown below.

When a teachers/students annotate a file under a project

You will see a small red badge whenever there is new activity in a file for a project. If a student or teacher has added annotations since the last time you opened the file and you have unread annotations, you will see a numbered badge on the left pane under Report sub-section. You will also see a red dot, as shown below, which calls out the files that have been annotated.
