Hello educators,
Here’s a detailed look at the updates launching today and what’s coming soon:
Launching today
Announcements v1.5.0
Streamlined announcement flow: We’ve redesigned the announcement creation flow to make it faster and more intuitive. You can now reuse recipients from past announcements and send targeted emails based on user type - all from a clean, single-page layout. What’s more, you can add banners for a personalised touch and easily preview your message on web, tablet, and mobile. This update is available on both web and app.
Portfolio v3.4.0
Portfolio filters and new layout: Teachers, students, and families can now view portfolio posts from previous academic years using the new academic year filter, making it easier to look back at learning over time. Plus, the new grid layout gives everyone a cleaner, more visual way to browse posts at a glance.
Coming soon! Get on our waitlist for beta access!
Plan your rollout
The following updates will go live on the platform over the next few weeks. We strongly urge you to plan your rollout. You can contact your Toddle Buddy and schedule training sessions for your school team.
Assignments v3.9.0
New ‘Excused’ status for assignments: Teachers can now mark students as excused from specific assignments - replacing the previous ‘Evaluation not applicable’ option. Excused students won’t be required to submit or receive evaluations, and their performance will be excluded from grade calculations.
The excused status is clearly visible across teacher and student views, ensuring transparency throughout the platform.
Portfolio v3.5.0
One-click access to all your child’s portfolio posts: Family members can now view their child’s portfolio posts directly from the Toddle home page on both web and mobile app - no need to visit each class individually! This consolidated view gives a complete snapshot of the child’s learning journey across classes. You can also filter posts by date to revisit milestones or recent highlights with ease.
Worksheet v2.8.0
Full worksheet submissions now visible in portfolio posts: Teachers and students can now add complete worksheet submissions to portfolio posts. When a student submits a worksheet assignment, the ‘Add to Portfolio’ action generates a detailed PDF that includes all student responses and teacher evaluations. This update ensures worksheet submissions are shared just like other assignment types - enhancing visibility for students, families, and teachers.
